Cat walk cycle
A quadruped walk cycle is always a fun exercise, and I’d been wanting to try Adobe Animate for quite a while, so this was the perfect opportunity!
I started by drawing a very rough outline of the shapes for the body, head, legs and tail, and getting the timing of the walk down.
Once the motion looked right, I proceeded to draw neat outlines for each of the shapes.
I created symbols for the head and the feet to be able to easily retain their shape in each frame, without needing to redraw them each time.
I then filled in the outlines, and worked on the eye blink and glare.
It was a great way to ease into frame-by-frame animation, and I’m looking forward to exploring this style further.
